How do I select the right paddle size for my flow switch?
Use our Paddle Trimming Calculator to determine the correct paddle dimensions for your pipe size, flow rate, and fluid type. The calculator shows which Kelco products will work with your conditions.

What materials are available for chemical compatibility?
Kelco products are available in brass, 316 stainless steel, polypropylene, and PVDF housings. Seals are available in Viton, EPDM, and PTFE. Contact us for specific compatibility advice.

Can Kelco products be used in hazardous areas?
Kelco products are not Ex certified. The -H microswitch models, the -R and -S models, the K, KU and Q float switches, the D40 and D50 and the pump controllers must not be installed in any hazardous area (Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22). The reed-switch models and the gold-contact -L models are simple apparatus: they may be used in a hazardous area only as part of an intrinsically safe circuit, connected through suitably certified associated apparatus. Each product page gives its statement, and the installation sheet gives the full conditions of use.
