5 Operating Modes
The F60 MK3 includes 5 unique operating modes, each combining a different subset of the available timers and pressure-control functions. Different modes suit pressure-only, flow-only, dual-sensor, and dual-pump scenarios. The full mode × function matrix is set out in the printed data sheet PDF available below.
Flow Sensitivity & Paddle Trimming
Like the F29, the F60 MK3 uses a mechanical paddle to detect flow. The flow rate at which the paddle activates depends on pipe size, fluid viscosity, turbulence, and the trimmed paddle length. For an accurate estimate of activation flow and to determine how much to trim the paddle for your application, use the online Paddle Calculator.
3-Phase Pump Motors
The F60 MK3 can be used to control either single-phase or 3-phase pumps, provided a 220–240 V AC or 24 V AC supply is available at the installation site. For 3-phase motors the F60 drives an interposing contactor — use the Pump Controller Power Calculator to size the contactor and verify cable rating and voltage drop.
Hazardous Areas
The F60 MK3 is not certified for use in hazardous areas and must not be installed in any area classified as hazardous under AS/NZS 60079.10 (Zone 0, 1, 2, 20, 21 or 22).
